Climate - Temperature, Sunshine and Air Humidity

The Sinai boasts a dry desert climate, all year round. The sunshine is intense.
It is extremely rare to see rain here: only in the mountain regions does it fall from time to time in winter. In general, the average annual temperature lies between 22 and 30 degrees Celsius. In the summer months between July and August, maximum temperatures of over 40 degrees are reached. Nevertheless, at most times there’s a refreshing wind blowing that makes cycling tolerable even at these temperatures. During January and February, the lowest daytime temperatures are still mostly above 20 degrees Celsius. Despite the relatively high daytime temperatures, in winter a cool wind can blow and the nights can be cold.
In the summer months, air humidity is higher, falling in the winter months. The average values range from a minimum of 59% in winter to a maximum of 68% in summer.
