Having completed my career as a regular soldier in the German army, in 1996, I converted my hobby into my profession and became a diving instructor.
The connection with the diving business brought me to Sharm El Sheikh, where I have now lived for a number of years with my partner and son. While what first captivated me was the stillness of the sea, with all its colours and creatures, as time went by I came to discover the beauty of this Egyptian peninsula, beyond just its waters. As a committed mountain biker, during the course of many tours through the Sinai, I developed a passion for the desert, with its sparse beauty and many, as-yet undiscovered marvels.

With “BlackJackBike”, I’ve now set myself the goal of getting other bikers just as enthusiastic about biking in the Sinai as I am.
